Vistara Commences Direct Flights Between Mumbai And Frankfurt
In a bid to enhance its services for travellers, Vistara Airlines recently launched direct flights connecting Mumbai and Germany's Frankfurt, operational six times a week. The inaugural journey was aboard Vistara's Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, departing from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 13:00 (IST) on November 15, 2023, and scheduled to land at Frankfurt International Airport at 17:30 (GMT). Vistara already operates six weekly flights between Frankfurt and Delhi.

"Sensing a need for an Indian airline offering world-class experience and connecting to long-haul destinations in Europe from Mumbai, we started 5x direct flights to London Heathrow. We are delighted to start a 6x weekly service to Frankfurt as our second European destination from India's financial capital. We are confident that our customers will appreciate and prefer flying with India's finest airline when planning to travel on this route," said Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer of Vistara.

UK 0027 will run from Mumbai to Frankfurt on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing at 1300 hrs and arriving at 1730 hrs local time. Return flight UK 0028 will operate from Frankfurt to Mumbai, departing at 2020 hrs and arriving at 0910 hrs the next day (+1) local time. Please note timings may vary slightly on specific operation days.
Other Initiatives
This month, Vistara also introduced complimentary Wi-Fi on its international flights operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A321neo planes for all Club Vistara members. It's reported to be the first Indian airline to offer free and unlimited Wi-Fi to passengers on board. The service is available to all Club Vistara members regardless of membership status, points, or duration.
It includes unlimited data for messaging apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage, and similar services. Platinum members and Business Class passengers receive 50MB of data for web browsing, social media, and staying connected via messaging and email. Platinum members must activate the 50MB surf package before enabling the unlimited messaging service. This initiative aims to enhance the travel experience for Club Vistara members.
To activate this service, Club Vistara members must verify their contact details, including email addresses and mobile numbers, in their Club Vistara account. Adding their Club Vistara ID during check-in or before boarding the flight is necessary. For members enrolling after booking or at the airport, providing their ticket number/PNR will link the CV ID with their booking. This service is accessible on a single device.
