Vistara, India's premier full-service carrier and a joint venture of Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has unveiled plans to introduce daily non-stop flights connecting Delhi and Hong Kong, starting from October 29, 2023. The airline will deploy its A321neo aircraft, configured with three classes, for this route. Bookings for these flights are gradually becoming available across all booking channels, including Vistara's official website, mobile app, and through travel agents.
Mr. Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer of Vistara, expressed excitement about this development, stating, "We are pleased to incorporate Hong Kong into our rapidly expanding global network. Hong Kong ranks among the world's foremost financial and commercial centers, attracting significant corporate traffic from India. It has also been a popular destination for Indian tourists. With the addition of Hong Kong, we now provide our customers with direct access to three of the world's major financial hubs, alongside London and Singapore."
Vistara will accommodate all eligible travellers meeting visa and entry requirements in both countries, as stipulated by respective government authorities. The airline strongly advises customers to thoroughly familiarise themselves with these guidelines before booking their flights.
Indian passport holders typically require a visa to enter Hong Kong for tourism, business, or family visits. Visa requirements can vary depending on the purpose and duration of your stay. Some Indian passport holders with certain types of valid visas (e.g., BNO passport, U.S. visa) may be eligible for Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) instead of a visa. PAR allows short visits to Hong Kong for tourism or business purposes.
