Madhya Pradesh is no stranger to beautiful places and offbeat tourist attractions. The many diverse facets of the state make it a unique destination to explore for travellers. Expounding on this fact, Madhya Pradesh has once again achieved a milestone on the national tourism stage. On September 27th, coinciding with World Tourism Day, the Central Ministry of Tourism announced that the state's Pranpur, Sabarvani, and Ladpura Khas are the best tourism villages in the country. The Union Ministry of Tourism, which organises the Best Tourism Village Competition, aims to promote community-based values and lifestyle while preserving cultural and natural resources.
Sabarvani and Ladpura Khas have been recognised for responsible tourism, while Pranpur has been chosen in the craft category.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board Sheo Shekhar Shukla said, "We are delighted that Pranpur, Sabarwani, and Ladpura Khas have been recognised as the best tourism villages in our state. This award highlights our dedication to fostering rural tourism. We are committed to expanding this initiative to ensure that more rural areas can benefit from tourism and gain recognition on a global scale."
All three villages, Pranpur, Sabarwani, and Ladpura Khas, received the recognition at a ceremony in New Delhi on September 27th. These hamlets are relatively unknown to the majority of travellers, and with this honour, more people will aim to explore them.
