Noida International Airport is all set to take off, with commercial flight operations scheduled for April 17, 2025. This new airport will serve domestic and international routes, offering a second major aviation hub for the Delhi-NCR region after Indira Gandhi International Airport.

According to recent reports, Noida International Airport will initially handle up to 65 flights daily. Of these, 62 flights will be on domestic routes, two will fly internationally, and one will be a cargo flight. The airport’s opening is eagerly awaited, as it promises to improve connectivity for residents in the Delhi-NCR area significantly.

Reports further suggest that the flight trials are planned for November 30, 2024. These trials, overseen by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), will ensure the airport systems are fully operational and meet all safety and performance standards before the grand opening.

The launch of Noida International Airport marks a significant milestone for the region, boosting air travel capacity and contributing to nearby areas' economic development. With the airport set to become a critical link in the country’s air travel network, its role in supporting the future growth of northern India is expected to be significant.

About The Airport

Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the airport is poised to become the second key aviation centre in the Delhi-NCR region, alongside Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The idea for a second airport was first proposed in the early 2000s, but it gained momentum in the 2010s as the region's population and economic activities rapidly expanded. The airport project was formally approved by the Indian government in 2018. Designed to be one of the largest airports in India, the vision behind Noida International Airport is to enhance connectivity, support regional development, and establish a world-class aviation hub for northern India.
