The Golden Chariot, Karnataka’s luxury tourist train, will resume operations on December 14 with updated features and itineraries. Operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the train offers a unique way to explore the cultural and natural beauty of South India.

The train combines luxury with convenience, featuring:
Accommodation: 40 plush cabins, including one designed for differently-abled guests.
Dining: Two restaurants (Ruchi and Nalapak) serving local and international cuisine, and a bar (Madira) offering curated beverages.
Recreation: The Arogya Spa with therapy and fitness facilities.
Technology: Wi-Fi, smart TVs, CCTV security, and advanced fire safety systems.
The all-inclusive package covers meals, house wines, guided tours, monument entry fees, and external meals as per the itinerary.
The Golden Chariot supports Karnataka’s tourism strategy by showcasing heritage destinations like Bandipur, Hampi, Mysore, and Cochin. Its relaunch is expected to boost local businesses, including hotels, artisans, and tour operators, while drawing both domestic and international tourists.
With its focus on South India’s rich culture and landscapes, the Golden Chariot strengthens India’s presence in luxury tourism and promises an unforgettable experience starting this December.
