The JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, tucked away in the serene splendour of the Himalayas, is celebrating ten years of unmatched luxury, warm hospitality, and making lifelong memories. The tenth-anniversary celebration was an unforgettable event that included a private meeting of the resort's ownership and management, as well as David Marriott, Chairman of the Board of Marriott International, who attended to commemorate this historic occasion. The event was a tribute to the long-term goal of offering visitors one-of-a-kind, spiritually fulfilling experiences amid the area's breathtaking scenery.
The event gathered key figures who played a crucial role in JW Marriott Mussoorie's success. Among them were Raj Chopra, Managing Director & Chairman of Competent Group, Kavita Chopra Ahuja, Director of Competent Group, and top Marriott leaders like Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific (APEC), Ranju Alex, Area Vice President for South Asia, and Arun Kumar, Market Vice President for North India, Nepal, and Bhutan. David Marriott's attendance further underscored the significance of the occasion, celebrating the resort's commitment to growth and excellence over the past decade.

The opening of the brand-new JW Garden, which personifies JW Marriott's mission of fostering a connection to nature, marked the festivities. This feature of the JW experience allows visitors to discover a haven where local produce and the breathtaking Himalayan scenery converge, providing a sensory adventure that uplifts the body and the spirit. The JW Garden is a representation of the company's dedication to environmentally friendly operations and designing areas where visitors can interact with nature. The garden, the centrepiece of the resort's offerings, pays homage to the breathtaking surroundings and is slated to become the focal point of visitor activities and gastronomic adventures.
A coffee table book, a project of Kavita Chopra Ahuja, Director of Competent Group of Companies, was also unveiled that evening. The story of the resort is beautifully captured in this book, which features memorable moments, gorgeous scenery, and the core values of JW Marriott Mussoorie's service philosophy. The book is a tribute to the last ten years, when luxury meets nature and every experience is enhanced by the resort's dedication to excellence. It features breathtaking photography and moving stories.
The first resort property owned by JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts in India is the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa. The five-star hotel with 115 rooms is situated in Mussoorie, a hill station at the base of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges. The hotel's amenities include the ultimate in luxury lodging, a 12,000 square-foot kids' entertainment area called Den, one of the city's largest meeting rooms spanning 3,300 square feet across the Grand Orchard Ballroom, and five restaurant lounges providing distinctive dining experiences. The resort also has the L'Occitane Cedar Spa, which has five opulent treatment rooms and a variety of restorative services that are influenced by the local cedar trees.
