Meghalaya in northeast India is known for its enthralling landscapes and rich tribal culture. The state has numerous hidden gems that have yet to be fully uncovered.
Here's another reason to visit Meghalaya—the Hills Festival, an annual celebration of music and adventure, set to take place from December 1 to 2, 2023, along the banks of the beautiful Umiam Lake in Umbi village.
The Hills Festival is bringing non-stop music, adventure, and good vibes. The two-day fest, sponsored by Meghalaya Tourism, will promote the state's modern and traditional heritage, ranging from music and art to indigenous cuisines. The event combines two primary components: eco-tourism and community empowerment. The festival's primary goal is to promote tourists, local artists, and entrepreneurs.
In its fourth edition, the festival has lined up an array of soulful music, mouthwatering food, art and cultural events, and exhilarating adventure activities. The event, organised in partnership with Meghalaya Tourism by a visionary team at HYPE (Helping Young People Entertainment), will feature folk music and delicious local cuisine to promote Meghalaya's rich cultural diversity.
