The Grand Hyatt Mumbai has unveiled its “Grand Showroom,” an extraordinary event and celebration space within the hotel that redefines luxury and sophistication. Launched with a spectacular celebration, the one-of-a-kind venue offers an immersive experience that blends grandeur, theatrical design, and experiential luxury for both intimate and large-scale events.
The Grand Showroom’s look and feel were inspired by the grandeur of the theatre. Drawing inspiration from the dazzling beauty of Mumbai’s iconic Queen’s Necklace (Marine Drive), the new event space offers a captivating blend of local heritage and luxurious design. The centrepiece is a magnificent chandelier that mirrors the elegance of the Queen’s Necklace, casting a soft, warm glow that enhances the overall ambience of the space. With a theatrical design, dramatic lighting and a high-tech sound system, the atmosphere is immersive and performance-driven, creating a sense of occasion that complements any event. The flexible layouts, enhanced with modular seating and customisable lighting, ensure the space can be tailored to suit various event formats, from grand banquets to intimate gatherings.
Robert Dallimore, the general manager at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel & Residences and Area Vice President of West India, said, “The launch of The Grand Showroom marks a significant milestone for Grand Hyatt Mumbai’s legacy in the country. We aim to create an environment that not only reflects our guests’ elevated lifestyles but also ensures every event leaves a powerful impression. At The Grand Showroom, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences that embody the timeless elegance of the property. We are excited to host memorable immersive luxury experiences for our guests in Mumbai and beyond.”
Upon arrival, guests will find an illuminated marquee that sets the tone for a prestigious event. The foyer area is thoughtfully designed for networking and socialising. Enhancing the sensory journey is the live culinary stage, featuring a state-of-the-art kitchen where guests can witness chefs crafting exquisite dishes. This interactive element brings an engaging and dynamic dimension to the event, blending the artistry of gourmet cooking with a captivating performance. The venue is also equipped with advanced audiovisual systems, perfectly suited for a variety of events, from corporate presentations and live performances to digital productions.
Sunjae Sharma, the managing director of India and Southwest Asia, said, "At Hyatt, we are dedicated to offering our guests unparalleled experiences in the hospitality space. The Grand Showroom at Grand Hyatt Mumbai is a testament to our commitment to revolutionising the event space in India, combining innovation with luxury and creating extraordinary experiences reflecting our brand's legacy of sophistication and excellence in hospitality. We believe this new venue will set a benchmark for celebrations in the country, offering unparalleled service and a stunning ambience.”
The launch event was a true celebration of creativity, featuring mesmerising performances by acclaimed musician Shankar Mahadevan and beloved actor Boman Irani. Their collaborative performance captivated the audience, enhancing the magical ambience of the evening. This musical journey perfectly complemented the venue’s promise of offering more than just an event—it was an experience that transformed every moment into a spectacle. Guests at the launch event were also treated to an extraordinary culinary journey curated by Lead Chef Neeraj Tyagi, who presented a fusion of bold and exquisite flavours.
