A week prior to the ceremony announcing Asia's 50 Best Bars, the extended list for rankings 51-100 has been unveiled, featuring four Indian bars of distinction. Lair, a speakeasy nestled in Vasant Vihar, Delhi, debuts at number 68. Sidecar, another esteemed establishment from Delhi, secures the 84th spot. Also hailing from Delhi is Home, while Mumbai's renowned Bombay Canteen claims the 59th position.

This list is curated by a 265-member academy comprising bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, and cocktail aficionados who anonymously vote for their top bar experiences. The leading locations on the extended list are in Singapore, occupying eight spots, alongside representation from Bangkok and Tokyo.

Each Indian bar recognised brings a unique flair to the list. Lair is celebrated for its experimental cocktails and intimate speakeasy ambience. Sidecar, under the leadership of acclaimed mixologist Yangdup Lama, continues to garner accolades. Home combines the sophistication of a cocktail bar with the atmosphere of a library-style wine-tasting lounge. The Bombay Canteen distinguishes itself with cocktails inspired by quintessential Indian themes.

Emma Sleight, Head of Content for Asia's 50 Best Bars, remarks, "We are delighted to welcome these diverse bars onto this year's 51-100 list within the 50 Best rankings.
