Vietnam has become a sought-after destination for Indian travellers, and Vietjet, the country's largest private carrier, is gearing up to cater to this growing interest. In a bid to foster closer ties between the two nations, Vietjet has unveiled plans to launch a new route linking Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu) and Ho Chi Minh City this November, adding to its existing service between Kochi and Ho Chi Minh City, which commenced in August.

Currently, the airline offers seven round-trip flights from Ahmedabad to Ho Chi Minh City each week and four round-trip flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi. For Hanoi, Vietjet provides seven round-trip flights weekly from Ahmedabad, three from Delhi, and three from Mumbai.
