Marriott International announces&nbspthe&nbspopening of the Westin&nbspMaldives Miriandhoo Resort in October 2018. Featuring&nbsp70 villas and suites, 41 on the island and 29 overwater, this will mark the debut of&nbspWestin&nbspHotels & Resorts in&nbspthe&nbspRepublic of Maldives.

Including three resort restaurants and a rooftop bar, the Westin Maldives boasts of an enigmatic mix of cuisines. At&nbspIsland Kitchen, witness a&nbspcombination of a thorough and thoughtful menu of Chinese, Indian and Maldivian cuisines. Guests can also enjoy authentic Asian food at&nbspHawker, a casual and buzzing restaurant and bar. If customers wish to quench their thirst with imaginative cocktails, then&nbspThe&nbspSunset Bar&nbspis the place to be.&nbspThe&nbspPearl, the&nbspresort&rsquos speciality restaurant, offers exquisite Japanese cuisine with an outstanding view of the Indian Ocean.  

Located on the exotic coral island in&nbspthe&nbspBaa Atoll which also happens to be a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve site, the&nbspresort&rsquos design takes inspiration from&nbspthe&nbspocean with a visionary approach towards environmental sustainability.

The luxury property, designed by Milan-based architects PEIA Associati, is poised over&nbspthe&nbspsea on stilts.&nbspWith an area of almost 200 square meters each,&nbspthe&nbspoverwater suites are amongst&nbspthe&nbsplargest in&nbspthe&nbspBaa Atoll region. The&nbspresort also has a spa, the&nbsp24-hour fitness centre and a kid's club.
