Vistara has Modified its Inflight Services for Health and Safety Reasons

In order to safeguard health and safety of travellers and its workforce, Vistara has announced provisional changes to its inflight products and services on national and international flights. That is, of course, once flight operations resume after the lockdown. 

In sync with social distancing norms, the airlines is moving to diminish touchpoints of human interaction on board by up to 80%. They  may make additional changes, in accordance with governing rules, once they are notified.

They will undertake thermal screenings of passengers before entry and exit. The cabin crew will wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and single-use gloves. All aircrafts will carry medical masks, gloves, sanitiser wipes and contact-less infrared thermometers. They also plan to have a airport medical support team on stand-by for any passenger displaying symptoms of COVID-19. 

Passengers will be served a limited range of food and beverages, so as to reduce the time spent by the cabin crew in the aisle (and interaction with passengers). What you won't get Turkish towels, welcome drinks, hot meals and beverages (including Starbucks coffee) in Economy and Premium Economy seats. What you will get Sealed 200ml water bottles on all flights, and cold refreshments in Premium Economy and Economy cabins (including to passengers opting for Economy Lite fares). Get a book because inflight magazines, and other reading material, will be withdrawn as well. 

The airlines will ask people to do web or airport kiosk check-ins. All their aircrafts will be sanitised at the turn-around of each flight, and deep cleaning of jets will be done every 24 hours.
