By the month of April next year, everyone would be able to experience the glory of Victoria Memorial, as the marble museum is going through some changes to help out the differently- abled in exploring the marvels of the past. This much-needed act was put forward in order to make the place accessible for all. Next summer the City of Joy will be ready to witness the differently-abled tourists enjoy the historic grandeur of the building.

Opened in 1921 the museum displays a lot of exhibitions with historic prominence including 25 themed galleries for the history lovers. Surrounded by beautiful gardens for over 64 acres of land, the Victoria Memorial is a scenic beauty. The complex sculptures around the area usually make the spectator wonder about its creation. The renovators will make sure that the changes do not hinder the aesthetic quality of the place.

The museum will have an elevator for the senior citizens and the disabled to reach the gallery on the first floor. There will be Braille sign boards for 50 prime exhibits around the compound guiding the way for the physically impaired to go through the place on their own. The small stairs used to reach the ground floor would be converted into ramps to facilitate the physically challenged to get inside the building. Two battery operated golf carts have already started to act as ferries between the entrance and the museum for the ease of elderly and the differently-abled.
