Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been named World's Best Airline in the 2023 Skytrax World Airline Awards for the fifth time in a row. The Skytrax awards hold immense significance, as they are based on the votes of over 20 million well-travelled individuals from across 100 nationalities. These discerning travellers cast their votes after evaluating over 325 airlines between September 2022 and May 2023. On the momentous occasion in Paris, Goh Choon Phong, Chief Executive Officer at Singapore Airlines, graciously accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the airline.

The Winning Categories

SIA emerged triumphant in multiple categories, claiming the top spot in four distinguished accolades. It was crowned the Best First Class Airline, recognized for its unparalleled luxury and comfort amenities. The airline also earned it the title of Best First Class Comfort Amenities. Not stopping there, SIA was honoured as the Best Airline in Asia, a testament to its unrivalled service and seamless travel experience. Adding to the excitement, SIA's subsidiary, Scoot, has been named the Best Long Haul Low-cost Airline and secured a remarkable second place in the World's Best Low-cost Airlines category.

Choon Phong expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices made by SIA's team. Their commitment played an instrumental role in ensuring the airline's readiness for the resurgence of air travel. "This award is a testament to the indomitable spirit of our people, who worked tirelessly and made many sacrifices to ensure that SIA was ready for the recovery in air travel. That has allowed us to emerge stronger and fitter from the pandemic as a leading international airline," he said.

Of particular note was the recognition of Singapore Airlines First Class cabin as the World's Best First Class.
