The pandemic has nudged the creative side of people around the world so much so, that even Queen Elizabeth is getting creative. The Queen has decided to invite some guests to watch a movie at her country home, Sandringham. The expansive estate used as the royal family&rsquos holiday getaway will be hosting a socially distanced drive-in movie event this month.
The official website of the estate says that parking spots will be given to ticket holders. The guests will be given enough room to sit in their cars or stand outside as long as they stay within their designated area. Even a rotation of different food vendors will be on-site each day of screening.
The three-day event starting Sepember 25, will feature movies like 1917, Rocketman, The Greatest Showman, Moana, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star is Born. Tickets for the event start at £32.50 (about $42) per car, while a premium ticket which provides a larger spot, chairs, and popcorn will cost about $10 more. Movies will be played every day at 1pm, 5pm, and 9pm.
According to a press release from Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will be visiting Sandringham estate during the end of September. However, the pair making an appearance at the drive-in event seems remote.
