If you always admired watching those sea turtles on your virtual screen then it&rsquos time to be a part of the Odisha Turtle festival at the Puri beach for the phenomenal Olive Ridley turtles. The first turtle festival of Odisha is being commenced on 12th January aiming to spread awareness about their conservation. The beach will be elevated with the blend of culture and cuisines for the guests. It&rsquos time to celebrate those little wonders of nature with the sense of safeguarding them from all the threats. Don&rsquot miss out the beginning of a great cause.

The beaches of Odisha are some of the largest rookeries of the Olive Ridley turtles in the world. Adorning the place with beautiful exhibitions, iconic sand arts and exotic local artefacts the beach expects a huge footfall of locals, tourists and nature conservationists supporting the cause. Cultural events, games, beach run and a lot more surprising activities are yet to unfold at Puri for all the visitors. Remove your foot wears and stroll along the coastline tasting some of the best food from their stalls and gathering souvenirs for your beloved ones back home.

This vulnerable specie of turtle needs to be protected to ensure their survival in the future. Conducted by the Cox and Kings Foundation along with the Humane Society International/India and Action for Protecting of Wild Animals (APOWA), this festival is planned to be an annual event. To ensure least interaction of humans with the turtles the time of the festival does not coincide with their arrival but the Odisha Turtle Festival would be enough for you to enjoy the day at the seashore.
