Jet Airways has been in the news a lot off late, more so for infamous reasons than others. But here&rsquos something for the better&mdashflying with Jet Airways will become a lot more affordable with the introduction of its new prices. Here&rsquos the deal They currently offer five types of fare choices within Economy, which are Light, Deal, Saver, Classic and Flex.
For flights within India, they have now begun unbundling the fares, which come within &lsquoLight&rsquo and &lsquoDeal&rsquo. The prices will now go lower as complimentary meals will no longer be offered with tickets bought at these rates. Instead, passengers have a choice whether or not to purchase food & beverages from a new in-flight menu.
What this does is give passengers an option to pick the lowest possible fare for a domestic flight, while deciding whether they want to pay for the meal.
As per a note by Jet Airways, &ldquoFrom 25th September 2018, guests travelling in Economy and booking &lsquoLight&rsquo/&rsquoDeal&rsquo fares for travel from 28th September 2018 on flights within India (our domestic network) will not only be able to avail competitive low fares but have the opportunity to buy meals from a specially curated on-board menu.&rdquo
Passengers can purchase either vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals via this new in-flight menu, and can only make payments via debit or credit card. Beverages such as tea and coffee will, however, remain complimentary for all passengers. Under the &lsquoSaver&rsquo, &lsquoClassic&rsquo and &lsquoFlex&rsquo Economy prices, the meals will still be complimentary
Jet Airways isn&rsquot the only airline in India to reduce costs. Recently, Vistara too started an onboard menu and introduced Freedom Fares with lowered prices and no free meals to expand its passenger base.
