Back On Track Indian Railways Resumes Special Train Services

Several special trains had already resumed services after restrictions imposed in different parts of the country were eased in April

Starting from Monday (June 14), Indian Railways have resumed several special trains. These had been suspended due to the increase in COVID-19 cases all over the country, leading to a second wave.

However, as the number of cases decline, and restrictions imposed in different parts of the country are eased, the services have been resumed.

Indian Railways has announced the resumption of special train services across northern, eastern, southern and western railways. According to reports from different zonal railways, the routes, halts and timings of these special passenger trains will remain the same as before.

There has also been an addition of train from Malda Town(WB) to New Delhi and from Bhagalpur (Bihar) to Anand Vihar Terminal (New Delhi), as mentioned by the Eastern Railway Twitter Account. 

Along with that, the Western Railway also announced on Twitter that they have decided to restore Rajdhani Superfast Special train services between Madgaon (Goa) and Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi) that would run via Vasai Road &ndash Surat &ndash Vadodara from June 18 2021.
