Booking tickets for women in certain trains would now be an easy task. Now women can get tickets in their reserved berths irrespective of their age or whether they are alone or in group. This noble gesture from the Railway Board will now help the female passengers in attaining the desired tickets easily in the required class. Tweeting this major change in reservation pattern of tickets, the Railway Ministry has decided to earmark reserved berths for women. A reservation quota of 6 berths in three AC classes in every all AC trains including Rajdhani and Duranto expresses. In Express and Mails there will be 6 sleeper berths will be provided for female passengers with 3 lower berths in each sleeper coach. In Garib Rath Express 6 berths have been allocated in three AC class coaches. There is special sleeping accommodation for pregnant women and senior citizens with 6 lower berths in every sleeper class and 3 lower berths in every 2AC and 3AC compartments. While in Rajdhani, Duranto and all AC trains, 4 lower berths have been kept aside for them. A lot of up gradation has come into the reservation system of Indian Railway in order to provide exceptional on board experience to the women.
