The flood situation in Bihar has worsened over the last couple of days. As the northern part of the country received heavy rainfall, the deluge in the eastern parts displaced many.
According to the latest report by Bihar Disaster Management Authority, 97 districts have been affected by Bihar floods. More than 55 lakh people have been affected till the July 18, according to the report.
In order to provide relief to those affected by this natural disaster, a total of 130 relief camps have been set up in the state with a current population of more than one lakh.
Also, 78 deaths have been reported in the state and the floods continue to wreak havoc. The situation worsened over the last couple of days in Bihar, leaving many displaced and in despair.
The situation in Assam is worse as there are more than two lakh people in more than 1,000 relief camps that have been set up. More than 53 lakh people have been affected in Assam, that is still reeling with the heavy rainfall.
