The pandemic has forced students across the world to go back to school virtually. We hear their favourite wizards are doing the same.

Honouring the back-to-school season, WizardingWorld.com is hosting a celebration for all Harry Potter fans called Back to Hogwarts.

In a break from the usual tradition, the celebration on September 1 will be the first virtual event ever hosted to mark the departure of Hogwarts Express from Platform 9 3/4 as it makes its way to Hogwarts.

&ldquoThe 1st of September is a momentous day in the Wizarding World calendar this is the day the Hogwarts students return for a new term, catch the Hogwarts Express, while the first-years discover the castle for the first time,&rdquo says the official Harry Potter fan website. &ldquoThough this year may look a bit different than in the past, the time has arrived to pack your trunk, ready your school supplies, and prepare to go back to Hogwarts &mdash virtually&rdquo

Fans will be able to access the Back to Hogwarts Hub from August 29 on the website and join the fan club and indulge in various digital activities before the official event on September 1. The website offers new craft videos, trivia challenges, quizzes, puzzles, Back to Hogwarts features, shopping guides, and more before the grand event where one can access to a live-stream featuring special guests, alongside the opportunity to be displayed on a virtual board in Kings Cross station, with sound and animation to make fans feel that they are aboard the Hogwarts Express.

Traditionally, Harry Potter fans used to gather at London&rsquos Kings Cross Station every year on September 1, and raised their wand at 11am to denote the time the Hogwarts Express departs from the station in the famous book/movie series. This year, it was decided that the event will be hosted online for the first time by Wizarding World Digital, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans can join in the event through their website.
