OT Which is your favourite hotel in the world
David Rocco
It has to be the ITC Maurya (from Rs 16,500 www.itchotels.in) in Delhi. My first visit was in October 2012 for business. I stayed for one glorious week. Since then, I&rsquove stayed there five times, most recently while filming Season 2 of David Rocco&rsquos Dolce India.

OT What keeps bringing you back
David Rocco
It&rsquos all about the people. Right when I walk in, I&rsquom greeted by familiar faces and the staff is all smiles. There&rsquos a feeling of comfort here that&rsquos unparalleled. It&rsquos the kind of hotel where you can&rsquot help but feel happy when you&rsquore there, from the moment you walk in till the moment you leave.

OT A happy place to sleep too
David Rocco
The rooms are amazing. They&rsquore spacious, comfortable and well-appointed.

OT Happy with the food too
David Rocco
The food is excellent. Whether you&rsquore eating at Bukhara, or the Pavilion or West View, it&rsquos always above and beyond expectation. I&rsquom serious&mdashthe food is the best you&rsquoll find anywhere. And the service is fantastic.

OT Favourite Maurya memory
David Rocco
Bringing my kids to India for the first time. We took them to Bukhara, and they were so excited and all giggly because they were allowed to eat with their hands. The whole visit was an experience they&rsquoll never forget for the rest of their lives. The staff was terrific and gave them such special attention. I&rsquoll always cherish the memories of spending time with them by the pool. They would have a blast swimming while my wife Nina and I enjoyed a cocktail on the deck.

OT Do you intend to visit again
David Rocco
Of course. Every time I leave, it&rsquos like I&rsquom saying goodbye to family, because you know there&rsquoll be a next time.
