NYC's iconic monument has decided to open its proverbial doors to the public. The Empire State Building is set to reopen its observatory, located on the 86th and 102nd floor, to the general public from July 20. Only New Yorkers will be allowed inside the premises.
Operating hours will be from 8 am to 11 pm during the initial weeks. Visitors will require do online reservations, they can't just walk in. This is being done to restrict the number of visitors which will be reduced by more than 80 per cent to only 500 guests inside the enormous 70,000 square foot space.
Some days back, for the first time in history, the Empire State Building witnessed a rejuvenating exhibition of fireworks from the 72nd and 103rd floors, and the 86th floor observation deck. This was done in the light of the 4th of July celebrations with Macy&rsquos.
The Empire State Realty Trust has installed MERV 13 filters, AtmosAir air purification and constant ventilation. Furthermore, all hosts in the establishment have been made vigilant thanks to training involving usage of PPEs and new cleaning procedures.
