Work from home would take on a whole new dimension if our 'office' had mountains, or beach and ocean views. With the pandemic redefining how we work, WFH package deals are being tapped into by many states in India. Not just that, entire countries are rolling out these deals now as digital nomads become a brand new demographic to target.
Many island countries are tapping into the trend with deals that may lure remote workers to swap their Zoom backgrounds for idyllic Caribbean backdrops.
The latest to join the bandwagon is Cura&ccedilao.
The Dutch Caribbean island has&nbsplaunched the @Home in Cura&ccedilao programme which will allow successful applicants to stay for up to six months in the country, along with a possible extension of six months.
The programme, like others around the region, targets remote workers, along with extended-stay visitors and investors.
The island is known for pristine beaches hidden away under coves, with expansive coral reefs, and diverse aquatic ecosystems around.
The remote work community is gradually increasing because of excellent amenities like co-working spaces, good internet accessibility, and equipped data centers.

Another advantage is the leniency on taxation for remote workers.

Curacao will join destinations like The Bahamas, Antigua, the Cayman Islands and Barbados that have launched options for remote workers and long-term visitors.

Interested It costs $294 to apply. You need to show proof of employment, international travel insurance (there&rsquos also an option to buy local insurance), and comply with the island&rsquos COVID requirements.
