If you find your kids are not keen to explore the local landmarks on a trip, here is a series of books which may come to your aid.

The series &lsquoCities of Adventure&rsquo penned by best-selling author Rishi Piparaiya and published by Imaginara Legacies, consists of travel guides in the guise of adventure stories.&nbspBy making information available in an entertaining mode, the books are expected to spark curiosity about the destination and their culture in the minds of the children.

Each book is written as an action-packed adventure story that incorporates the spirit of the city and its main attractions and experiences.

Twelve-year old Tara and ten-year old Neil Lander travel to various corners of the globe with their parents and Sumo, their friendly Labrador.

Follow the family as they embark on one crazy adventure after another. A treasure hunt in London that takes them across its significant museums, palaces, and parks. A struggle to capture a runaway kangaroo before it destroys all of Sydney's tourist attractions. Or a race against time across Los Angeles's studios, museums, and markets, to prove the innocence of a leading Hollywood actress. By making information entertaining, the books spark curiosity about the destination.

The first three books in this series, based in Washington DC, Los Angeles and Melbourne, have been released in June 2021. Nine more books are in the works.

A former banker and marketing head with multinational organizations, Rishi Piparaiya left his corporate job at the helm of his career to spend time doing what he loves&mdashtravelling, writing, and mentoring start-ups.

He has an MBA from Cornell University and completed his undergraduate education from the University of Rochester, and a program in creative writing from the University of Cambridge.

He loves to experiment with different writing genres. His debut work, &lsquoAisle Be Damned&rsquo, a humour book on air travel, was a national bestseller in India. His second book, &lsquoJob Be Damned&rsquo, published by HarperCollins, was an acclaimed satire on corporate life.

Piparaiya has visited nearly 40 countries. In 2019, he set out on a five-month, 75,000-km journey across 55 international cities to personally visit and research every location so that the Cities of Adventure books would be as authentic as possible.

Cities of Adventure is his first series for children, and aims to make travel fun for kids.

The books&nbspare available on all Amazon sites globally and at select bookstores. In India, the books are priced at Rs 495 each for the paperback version and Rs 395 for Kindle eBooks. Members of Amazon&rsquos Kindle Unlimited program can read them from free.
