It was only a few weeks ago that Beijing&rsquos Daxing International Airport in China hit the news ways, thanks to its unique shape, smart design features and astonishing size. Another feather in the cap, the airport is now also home to the largest airport hotel in the country. Sprawling over a whopping 9000 square metres, Aerotel Beijing covers a sizeable chunk of the airport. The only in-terminal hotel covers two storeys in the Northwest Pier of Daxing. It was opened to the public on September 25.
Travellers can reserve rooms in blocks of three, nine and twelve hours. This way, the rooms can be rented out on an hourly basis and people can avoid the cost of booking a room for an entire day. Only a 5 minute walk away from the domestic check-in counters and a 10 minute walk from the international check-in counters, the hotel is located in a convenient position.
Along with basic accommodation, the hotel is also equipped with a gymnasium and a game room for the purpose of entertainment. Additionally, 2 meeting rooms and a multi-functional VIP room that can hold 36 guests are created for business purposes.
For those who wish to unwind with refreshments, the Library Lounge is at their service. The signature restaurant serves multiple cuisines in a buffet and a la carte.
The design and architecture of the hotel is minimalistic yet sophisticated, focussing more on the comfort of the traveller than embellishments. The furniture is also modestly placed, covering all the essentials.
It seems like the airport keeps on providing for the traveller.
