Isolation and physical distancing seem to be the norm for 2020. And to take isolation to the next level, an entire Swedish village is now up for sale. The hamlet of Satra Brunn in Sweden is up for sale for a price of under $7.3 million.
A wellness destination, Satra Brunn is located within Sala and was first established in 1700. The land, surrounded by a source of pure spring water, was bought by a doctor, who set up a bathhouse, a hospital and &lsquotree-lined avenues&rsquo. The spring here has been awarded Sweden&rsquos highest purity designation.
Since its discovery the village has served as a retreat for aristocrats as well as 'commoners'. It was also used as a space for recreation.
Closed for a part of the year, the 62-acre village has over 70 buildings, a church, a pre-school, conference centre, a restaurant, a spa with pool, and a gym and sauna. Additionally, the price includes more than 80 acres of a forested landscape.
The original bid window lasted till May 31, 2020. However, owing to the pandemic, it has been moved to August 16. The village currently is a famous summer getaway for its wellness quotient and natural spring waters having healing properties.
