Growing up we've all wished at least once that we could float around in and explore outer space. Some of us still carry the dream.
For those dreamers, a reality TV show could be the answer.
Space Hero, a new reality show, isn't handing cash prizes and villas for winners. No, the lucky winner of this show will get to go to the ultimate frontier.
The show will feature amateur astronauts who will compete for the grand prize, a trip to the International Space Station aboard the SpaceX Dragon Rocket with a crew. And it will all get preserved on film as part of the ground-breaking show.
Currently, Space Hero Inc. is looking to find passionate civilians, who have genuine interest in travelling to space, through a series of rigorous challenges in a fast-track astronaut training programme.
According to Space Hero Inc. chairman Marty Pompadur, "Space Hero is about opening space up to everyone &ndash not only to astronauts and billionaires.&rdquo
The US-based production company doing the show has already booked a seat on a 2023 SpaceX Dragon Rocket for its winner.
The flight's crew will do a 10-day trip to the International Space Station.
The show was originally conceived in Moscow in 2008, but had got shelved once NASA shut down its shuttle programme. Now manned flights aboard the SpaceX Dragon is happening, and the show will finally be filmed.
