Who doesn&rsquot want a fancy hotel stay with the best of everything&mdashviews, comfort, and more. We all do, but not all of us have deep pockets. So what&rsquos the best option for when you are travelling on a budget
From a list of things to look up and plan that come to mind when we hear the word &lsquotravel&rsquo, the most important is the stay. We like hostels for obvious reasons&mdashthey are cheap and they are everywhere (well, almost).
These days, many young travelers are out to explore places far and offbeat, and sometimes finding a decent place to stay can be a difficult task, especially on a tight budget.
Independent hostels present in most cities and towns, no matter how remote, provide us budget travellers with a place to rest.
Here are five hostels we found and liked.
Bombay Backpackers in Mumbai, Maharashtra
The name gave it away, right Yes, a little haven for backpackers travelling to Mumbai, this hostel is great fun. The theme that they follow here is that of Mumbai&rsquos transportation modes&mdashautos, taxis, buses and trains. The stay will cost you around Rs500 per night and it includes a typical Mumbai breakfast. Bonus points for the funky artworks. The living space is a fun space where you can meet other travellers over a drink, a plate of food, or an interesting TV show. If you have a few days to spare in Mumbai before you head out to your next destination, try their planned itinerary of activities like night city tour, pub hopping and other local attractions. For more information, head to Bombay Backpackers.

Zostel Spiti, or Asia&rsquos highest backpackers&rsquo hostel, is just the right place for a dose of comfort you look for when travelling to these tough altitudes where rest becomes important.
The Moustache Hostel, Jaipur
Possibly one of the best backpackers and youth hostels in the pink city, The Moustache lets you socialise with your fellow travellers in their spacious common rooms loaded with music systems, buzzy board games and binge worthy web shows and movies. The rooftop has amazing views to offer. When done lolling around in your dorm, go out and explore the multiple eateries and established joints of the town in the hostel&rsquos vicinity. What sets the hostel apart is the way they have played around with mirrors, puppets and colours keeping in mind the glorious architecture of Jaipur. Head here for more info.
