The date was July 8, 2017. Old Ahmadabad was declared India's first UNESCO World Heritage City. What a proud moment Many dynasties came and went before Ahmadabad became a walled city during the period of Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1411 A.D. The city saw many rulers and leaders, so many influences, some made walls and mosques and some fought against all odds and brought the country to what it is right now. Ahmedabad or as the locals call it 'Amdavad', has a rich history whose strong presence one can't deny.
