Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti made her Twitter debut with a touching short film meant to revive tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Within 72 hours, the film titled 'Warmest Place On Earth' received over five million views on social media. The five-minute-long video produced by Jaibeer Ahmed is an attempt to change the general perception about the state being unsafe for tourists.
The film revolves around a couple on their first visit to Kashmir and how an affectionate local man shows them around with much enthusiasm. The lovely background song Sahibo is written by Shah Faesal, an IAS topper, and sung by Vibha Saraf and her musician friend Mudasir Ahmad.
Following the unrest 2016 when more than 100 civilians were killed and thousands were injured, the state's tourism industry which employs over 100,000 people, directly and indirectly, hit a downward spiral.
