If you wish to spend the weekend indulging in heavy physical activity, supplemented with a dose of nature, you should undertake the Skandagiri Sunrise trek. The mountain forests of Skandagiri are located 70 km from the city of Bangalore. Reach the base point at 10pm and start the night trek on Friday night. It is an 8 km trek and is tried and tested by both amateurs and professional enthusiasts. The remains of Tipu Sultan’s fort as well as another abandoned fort are located on the top of the hill. You will reach the peak and enjoy a bonfire with your fellow trekkers and then wake up to the most calming atmosphere, with the winds in your face and a spectacular view of the sunrise.
