The classic British aristocratic life that one sees on Downton Abbey, the award-winning TV series, is now available to non-snooty non-aristocrats &ndash if they pay up $545 for a weekend stay. Highclere Castle, the British mansion that serves as &lsquoDownton&rsquo in the television series, is taking bookings for London Lodge, an 18th century &ldquounique and luxurious&rdquo accommodation for two. According to the estate, the lodge has been restored over the past two years by the current Earl of Carnarvon and his wife. The lodge has a double bedroom, bathroom and dressing area, a kitchen and sitting room arranged around a wood-burning stove. The weekend visitor staying here can admire one of Britain&rsquos grandest castles and 6,000 acres of parkland. London Lodge, situated to the north of Highclere Castle, will be available for Valentine&rsquos Day 2015 and for selected weekends through the spring and summer.
