Located at the southernmost reaches of the planet, Antarctica seems nothing short of a mystical fairyland right out of C.S. Lewiss The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe. And for those who've caughtthe travel bug, its more than just another place onthe bucket list. But how does an Indian achieve this dream There are ways, but none easier than what The Q Experiences, a new and unique luxury travel company, has to offer. The White Continent is their Antarctica expedition, exclusively for Indians, slated to set sail in December 2017, although entries close as early as June. Le Solal is the name of the luxury 132-stateroom and suite yacht that will be taking on the southern seas and facilitating an experience of a lifetime. The ships name is a big hint to its designelegant and French Riviera-inspired. The interiors are designed by French designer Jean-Philippe Nuel, known for his splendid work with Frances chicest boutique hotels.

The Q Experience is a new company with a unique approach to travelit focuses on providing a wholesome experience, unique destinations and taking into account the likes and dislikes of all its patrons. This results in incredibly personalised journeys. The White Continent is their first such trip. It begins at Ushuaia, Argentina, which is located on the Tierra Del Fuego archipelago, the southernmost tip of South America. After this, you sail across the Drake Passage, before finally arriving at Neko Bay and Paradise Bay, welcoming you to Antarctica. The ship then proceeds to anchor at three ports of South Shetland Islands, which lie about 120km north of the main peninsula. The Deception Island, which is the caldera of an active volcano, and the very quiet Weddell Sea are some of the other wonders one gets to experience before sailing back.

Atul Kochhar, whos know as the second Indian chef ever to receive a Michelin star will be looking after the on-board food & beverages, while Ducasse Conseil, which is a catering service par-excellence run by the 21-Michelin-star chef, Alaine Ducasse, will be ensuring that nothing hinders your culinary experience. Overall, this is quite a leap into the lap of luxury. Visit thewhitecontinent.com & theqexperiences.com.
