Calgary in Canada will host its annual Calgary Stampede Parade in July, 2015. Billed as the world&rsquos richest rodeo, the 10-day long programme starts on July 3, 2015. The programme will begin at 7.30am on the first day with a Parade Prelude followed by a parade of marching bands, over 150 floats and hundreds of horses. The competitive rounds will begin at 1.15pm every day, where cowboys and cowgirls will face off in a furious display of skill and grit, for the finals on Showdown Sunday. The events are divided into several categories such as bull riding, ladies barrel racing, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, novice bareback, etc. Every evening, at 7.45pm, the GMC Rangeland Derby will feature nine heats of four chuckwagons each, and as soon as the last wagon races past the finishing line, it will be time for the TransAlta Grandstand Show which will include song and dance numbers, acrobatics, and a spectacular fireworks. Besides, you can try out the various food stalls and go shopping for rodeo-related souvenirs and local handicraft. You can buy event tickets online, even opt for the packages on offer. The organisers have also arranged for exclusive value days, including Suncor Energy Family Day, Western Heritage Day and BMO Kids&rsquo Day, so that you can have fun even on a budget.
