Five weeks after the death of two British backpackers on Koh Tao island in Thailand, the Thai government has put a ban on beach parties on the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan for security reasons, keeping in mind the safety of tourists. Governor of Surat Thani province, Chatpong Chatputhi, said, &ldquoWe've reached a point where we need to clean up the image of tourism in the province, including beach parties that can get out of control and lead to violence.&rdquo However, the schedule of the famous Full Moon party on Rin beach of Koh Phangan will not be interrupted as it is considered one of the world&rsquos biggest &mdash travellers come here from all over the world. Previously, the Thai government also initiated &lsquowristbands for tourists&rsquo that had their contact details for their safety.
