Air India ups free baggage allowance

Air India will allow economy class passengers on the domestic routes a free baggage allowance of up to 25kg, up from the existing 15kg, for a limited period. The offer valid from August 12, 2015 to February 7, 2016 will be available across all fare levels in the economy class. Additionally, infants get a free baggage allowance of 10 kg. The good news is that passengers who have booked before 12 August 2015 will also be able to avail the benefit. Those travelling Air India&rsquos international segment can avail the benefit if they are travelling on Air India&rsquos domestic sectors and connecting to Air India&rsquos international sectors and vice versa. Passengers travelling on Alliance Air flights and connecting to Air India flights and vice versa are also eligible for this offer.
