This World Cocktail Day, here are a set of no-fuss recipes contributed by some of the popular watering holes of Kolkata, which can be easily concocted at home

Bloody G&ampT

Ingredients

Gin - 60ml
Syrup - 10ml
Lime juice - 5ml
Tonic water
Red wine - 15 ml

Method

Add Syrup, Lime Juice and Gin
Top it with Tonic Water
Pour Red Wine on top
Serve with ice cubes

Imli Chatka

Ingredients

Tequila - 60 ml
Sweet and sour mix
Orange juice - 45 ml
Red chilli muddled with Kaffir lime chunks
Imli compote &ndash 2 tablespoon
Salt
Tabasco

MethodCombine the Tequila, sweet and sour mix, orange juice, red chilli muddled with Kaffir lime chunks, two tablespoon of imli compote, a pinch of salt and two dashes of Tabasco.

Serve the chilled drink garnished with crushed ice and basil.

Koko Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

Whiskey - 60ml
Cointreau - 15ml
Cranberry - 15ml
Lychee shrub - 15ml
Blood orange peel for garnish

Method
Pour the lychee shrub, Cointreau and whiskey in a cocktail shaker and shake well.
In a chilled glass, pour out the cocktail from the shaker and garnish with a blood orange peel.

Project X

Ingredients
Fresh lime juice - 15ml
Orange pulp juice - 15ml
Fresh orange juice - 30ml
Bacardi rum - 60ml
Orange peel for garnish

Method
Pour all ingredients in a chilled cocktail shaker and shake well.
Fill an old fashioned glass with ice cubes. Pour the chilled cocktail over the ice and garnish with an orange peel.

Purple Rain

Ingredients

Blue infuser gin - 60 ml
Elderflower syrup - 15 ml
Lime Juice - 20 ml
Top up-Tonic Water 60 ml
Malta Orange and orchid flower for garnish

Method
Mix 60 ml blue infuser gin, a dash of elderflower syrup, 20 ml lime juice, and top up with 60 ml tonic water. Pour the drink over ice cubes.
Garnish with with Malta orange and orchid flower.

Bourbon - 60 ml
Orange Marmalade
Fresh Lime Juice
Simple Syrup

Method
Mix together white 60 ml bourbon, orange marmalade, fresh lime juice and simple syrup in a jar or shaker.
Garnish with a slice of orange.
