Do you sometimes find yourself craving idlis at midnight In Bengaluru, a company has set up an idli bot or 'idli ATM' to quickly cook, package, and deliver these bites of steamed delights.

To swiftly serve fresh (and contactless) idlis, a company has placed an autonomous idli-making machine in the city. A video of the gadget has gone viral and has been extensively shared on the internet. In the video, a woman can be heard detailing how a Bengaluru diner used a machine for hot and fresh idlis.

&nbspIn only 55 seconds, the fully automated machine can produce, pack, and deliver a range of South Indian delicacies such as idli, vada, and chutneys.&nbspHere's how it operates. One may quickly place an order by scanning the QR code and paying the cost of the idli online. The menu of the idli vending machine lists idlis and vada, and even our favourite - podi idli. The idlis are wrapped in recyclable containers and served with chutney from a different, smaller device on the side.

The ATM is the idea of Freshot Robotics, a Bengaluru-based firm founded by entrepreneurs Sharan Hiremath and Suresh Chandrashekhan.&nbspAccording to media reports, there are presently two idlibots or ATMs in Bengaluru, but the company intends to extend the network of sites and increase the menu options by adding dosabots, ricebots, and juicebots to provide hot, fresh, and healthful meals all day at the push of a button.
