Kalimpong is located about 70 km from Darjeeling on a ridge that connects two hills, Deolo and Durpin, that overlook the Teesta River. Due to the low altitude, the weather remains pleasant throughout the year. Previously, the town was a significant stop on the commercial routes connecting Tibet to India via Sikkim. Kalimpong has it all gorgeous mountain views, stunning scenery, and many cafes serving excellent food. Feast on magnificent views and wonderful food at our selection of cafes in Kalimpong with spectacular views and quirky draws.
This small café, approximately 10 minutes walk from the main town, is a popular venue for art shows, exhibitions and sales of local handicrafts and music events. The Nathu La Pass along the Indo-China border can be seen well on clear days. The organisation was founded by Praveen Chettri, Navin Chettri, and Yawan Rai to promote Kalimpong's native culture, art, and crafts. Signature products on the menu include pizzas, smoothies, and true Darjeeling tea.

This one is perfect for bibliophiles, and the first (and perhaps only) book cafe in Kalimpong. You can pick up a book and settle down with a cup of your favourite brew. They host readings and author meet-up sessions, as well as book releases. And they invite young and upcoming writers, poets, and artists to come and share their experiences and work at The Epilogue.
