Commemorating the golden jubilee of diplomatic ties between India and Korea, the Embassy of Korea, from April 21-23, organized Korea Street Fair in Gurugram, Haryana. The three-day event at 32nd Avenue, hosted in collaboration with the Korean Youth Commerce Association, offered an immersive experience of diverse Korean culture.
From traditional lanterns to exquisite Korean delicacies, there was plenty on display for visitors. The pop-up stores, traditional performances and a special photozone added to the vibrancy of the fair and gave a glimpse of Korean culture.
Inaugurating the event, Korean envoy Chang Jae-bok said there would be more such events in the year ahead to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
He said, "The &lsquo2023 Korea Street Fair' is a critical event in a series of such events that we will hold in the country through this year. Street markets with small stalls in Korea are great places to visit in Korea. Through this fair, you will learn about life and culture in Korea. You are also going to experience exquisite Korean delicacies. You will feel like walking on a street somewhere in Korea."
Calling the fair a tribute to the India-Korea bonhomie, the ambassador expressed hope that the Korea Street Fair 2023 would deepen understanding and friendship between the people of India and Korea.
