Jashn-e-Rekhta, the world's largest Urdu language literary festival, is all set to be back with its seventh edition. The three-day event, with its slogan of "celebrating Urdu," is a grand affair that provides a platform for lovers of the language to come together and participate in different events. Since the festival is just around the corner, here's a look at all you need to know about it.

About Jashn-e-Rekhta
The festival has drawn more than 1,50,000 visitors in the past. The three-day festival is organized annually in Delhi under the aegis of Rekhta Foundation--a non-profit organization operating a free online resource (www.rekhta.org)&ndashthe world's largest website and resource for Urdu poetry and literature.

Aim
The festival aspires to unite language lovers from every part of the world to celebrate different Hindustani languages and their rich history. It also aims to provide a platform for Urdu lovers to share their poetry and stories in various open forums.

The Lineup
Jashn-e-Rekhta 2022 has a stellar lineup with Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Shah Pathak, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Hariharan, Muzaffar Ali, Richa Sharma, Kumar Vishwas, Shailesh Lodha, Dia Mirza, Sheykhar Ravjiani, Shilpa Rao, and Pratibha Singh Baghel with several other distinguished authors, poets, artistes, literary scholars, singers and acclaimed personalities from the film and television industry.

What Else to Expect
There will also be a curated Food Festival (Aiwan-e-Zaiqa), a Book Exhibition, Art & Craft Bazaar and much more. The festival will open on the evening of December 4 with a ghazal concert by Hariharan, and the day will conclude with a Sufi music performance by Richa Sharma.

Dates and Venue
The festival will be held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium between December 2 and 4.
