For mountain and climbing enthusiasts who can't get enough of the fantastic climbing and mountaineering films that are made in other countries, rejoice The Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is hosting India's first film festival made up of Indian mountain and adventure films. The IMF Mountain Film Festival seeks to highlight Indian mountain films and Indian filmmakers who're working in this space. This also chimes in with the stated objective of the IMF to popularise mountaineering and other related activities in India. The films will be divided into three categories Adventure Sports, Wildlife and Culture. There are cash prizes of â&sbquo¹25,000 and â&sbquo¹50,000 for the two best films at the festival. The IMF Mountain Film Festival is the brainchild of Maninder Kohli, the Festival Director.
