Located in the southernmost part of Goa, Varca Beach is known for its white sand beach. Being far from the city's hub, the beach does not get droves of tourists and is, hence, one of the cleanest in the state. Its clear water, gentle waves and serene atmosphere make it one of the best beaches to head to in south Goa. Varca is a clear winner when compared to Colva Beach, another white sand beach in south Goa, which is choc-a-bloc with tourists on any given day.
Radhanagar Beach is located on Havelock Island of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Being a safe beach, you can indulge in swimming, scuba diving, snorkelling, or even go parasailing at Radhanagar Beach. With pristine white sand, turquoise water, and palm trees, this beach is known for its breathtaking sunrises and picture-perfect sunsets. The beach is locally known as Beach No. 7.
A natural port located 6 km from Udupi, Karnataka, Malpe Beach is known for its alluring silver-white sands and turquoise-blue waters. A variety of water sports, such as Jet Ski or Water Scooter Rides, Parasailing, Banana Rides, Speed Boat Rides, Bumpy Rides, Kayaking, and Speed Boat cruises, are available at Malpe Beach. Known for its 400-year-old Ganesh Temple, Ganpatipule's azure waters are a big draw for tourists. A clean rocky beach with fine silvery white sand, Ganapatipule is also known for the lagoon it houses and is one of the most spectacular beaches on the Konkan belt. Ganpatipule derived its name from "Ganapati," or the Lord of "Ganas" (army), and 'Pule' which means sand dune.
Located approximately 38km from Madgaon, the white sand paradise of Palolem in Canacona is the perfect spot to escape city life. With scores of shacks, hotels and restaurants, Palolem is a tourist's delight, especially for those who love seafood. Lined with coconut trees, the tranquil surroundings make Palolem Beach one of the prime tourist attractions in Goa. Morning walkers and yoga enthusiasts can indulge in their favourite pastime on the mile-long beach of Palolem.
About 30 km from Alibaug, Kashid is Maharashtra's only white sand beach other than Ganpatipule. Whether you are an adventure enthusiast, a foodie, or a nature lover, Kashid Beach in Raigad district has something for everyone. The beach is shallow, and one can easily walk in the water for a few metres. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind. However, the beach gets quite crowded, particularly on extended weekends. Try visiting here on weekdays to enjoy moments of solitude at the beach. For adventure buffs, the surrounding hills offer great opportunities for trekking and hiking.
A tiny hamlet on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, Varkala is one of the famous beaches of Kerala known for its hot springs of natural minerals. It Rocky red cliffs, white beach sand and clear blue water characterise Varkala. It is also known as Papanasham Beach, as it is popularly believed that a dip in the holy waters at this beach purges the body of impurities and the soul of all sins. The beach offers striking sunset views. It can simply take your breath away with its long, winding stretch of cliff that expands over the Arabian Sea.
