After a successful launch at The Taj Palace in New Delhi last year, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) recently launched its flagship Indian-themed restaurant, Loya, at the Taj West End in Bengaluru.
Loya offers a culinary journey through North India, showcasing flavours from the Himalayan foothills to the terrain of Punjab.
Loya, inspired by Bakarwals (shepherds), represents joyful feasting and camaraderie. This restaurant takes you on a culinary adventure, reviving old traditions and using heirloom ingredients. They emphasise unique techniques like smoking, slow cooking, hot oil tempering, open-fire cooking, and traditional masala pounding.
The bar, Loya 'Paanch,' combines old-world charm with modern elegance, featuring local drinks and a contemporary twist on North Indian spirits.
Moreover, Loya's interior will also leave patrons in awe, given its grand arches and patterns. Outdoor areas have natural elements like rocks and Himalayan spring-inspired water features. The music, curated by Shreyas Patkar, draws from folk tunes, traditional rhythms, and soulful compositions, completing the North Indian experience.
