Le Meridien Delhi has always been synonymous with exceptional dining, and now, with the launch of Eau De Monsoon's new menu, it has taken a remarkable step in paying homage to India’s rich culinary heritage. This exclusive new offering, which debuted on September 20, 2024, celebrates the diverse flavours of the country, from the fiery curries of the North to the delicate seafood of the South. With an emphasis on heritage recipes, Le Meridien has crafted an experience that combines the traditional and the contemporary, offering diners a truly indulgent gastronomic adventure.

A Tribute To Culinary Traditions

The heart of the concept lies in its dedication to India's culinary traditions. "This is an ode to the diverse cuisines of India. With this new menu, we are launching traditional Indian delicacies with a modern twist,” shared Meena Bhatia, Vice President & General Manager of Le Meridien. The focus here is on recreating and elevating dishes, blending contemporary presentation with flavours deeply rooted in Indian culture.

“To elevate this indulgent dining experience, we have also curated a selection of fine wines that perfectly complement the succulent flavours of kebabs and seafood dishes,” said Chef Setu Gupta.

The Menu

At the heart of Eau De Monsoon's new menu is an assortment of flavours representing the best of India’s regional cuisines. Diners begin their culinary journey with a Chaat Sampler showcasing India's street food favourites—Dilli Ki Palak Patta Chaat, Agra Ke Chowk Ki Tikki, and Benaras Ki Tamatar Chaat. This starter is a playful mix of crispy, spicy, and tangy flavours that instantly transport you to bustling city streets.

Warm up with the Bhuna Asparagus Shorba, a rich soup where the delicate flavour of fresh asparagus is enhanced by subtle Indian spices, creating a balance that teases the palate.

The Kebab Selection is a true highlight, offering a range of flavours and textures that will please any meat lover. Vegetarians will find the Khumbh & Amaranth Galouti—an umami-rich mushroom and amaranth kebab—equally satisfying with the nutrient-packed Millet & Fresh Fava Bean Kebab.

Regional Specialties

For the main course, the menu ventures deep into India’s regional specialities. Meen Moilee, a Kerala-style fish curry in a tangy Malabar tamarind sauce, and the fiery Kozhi Chettinad from coastal Tamil Nadu offer a burst of coastal flavours that are balanced by expert spicing.

From Bihar, the slow-cooked Champaran Mutton is a standout, with its deep, robust flavour. Vegetarians can savour the wholesome Gahat Ki Dal from Uttarakhand or the rich Paneer Khaas, a creamy dish brimming with fresh vegetables.

No meal would be complete without a memorable dessert, and Eau De Monsoon does not disappoint. The Chef’s Signature Dessert, "Shahi Tukda," is kept as a dazzling surprise, promising to end the feast on a high note with a creation that balances tradition and innovation.
