Here's a quick summary of the Snowline Trek from Mcleodganj:

Tour Route: Mcleodganj - Triund - Laka Got - Lahesh Caves

The Start

Starting from Mcleodganj in Dharamshala, the Snowline Trek takes you through mixed woods of deodar, oak and rhododendron to the famous camping grounds of Triund and Laka Got. The trek from Mcleodganj to Snowline via Triund is low to moderate in terms of difficulty level. This trek follows one of the more well-trodden paths used by the gaddi shepherds to enroot their summer grazing pastures in the upper Raavi valley and Lauhal.

Though the trek may be difficult for some, the end result of this trek is well worth the effort. To the south, there are captivating views of the Indian plains, while the Moon peak and the snow-capped mountains can be seen to the north.

Time it Right

If you leave for the trek very early in the morning from Mcleodganj, you might reach Snowline by noon. It is far better than setting up your camp at Triund, as Snowline is less busy and prettier. A camping area is also located here, right outside the famous Snowline Cafe. Though this well-known cafe is nothing more than a tea shop, it is still one of the most famous landmarks in the neighbourhood.

From the scenic landscapes of Triund to the snowy splendour of Snowline, this trek offers a one-of-a-kind experience for both nature lovers and adventure seekers.
