Visit The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, situated in the heart of Chinatown, features a giant stupa weighing 3,500 kilograms, crafted from 320 kilograms of gold, with 234 kilograms donated by devotees. The temple boasts a richly designed interior and comprehensive exhibits on Buddhist art and history. While only monks are permitted into the relic chamber, visitors can view the tooth relic from a designated area. Inspired by the Buddhist Mandala, the temple's design symbolizes Buddhist culture and the universe. Constructed in 2007, the temple is named after what Buddhists believe to be the left canine tooth of Buddha, recovered from his funeral pyre in Kushinagar, India, and displayed on the temple’s grounds. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of Clarke Quay, a historic riverside quay located in the Singapore River Planning Area which has been turned into an entertainment hub. Take a leisurely walk along the waterfront, where you can watch street performers and soak in the lively ambience. Explore the impressive MICA building, a colonial landmark that used to be the former Hill Street Police Station in the 1930s. It is a popular spot for Instagram photos. Clarke Quay is especially vibrant in the evening, with colourful lights reflecting on the river. Interact with local artists and enjoy the lively atmosphere for a delightful evening by the river.

 Head To Raffles Marina Lighthouse For The Views

The stunning lighthouse, built in 1994, overlooks the Tuas Second Link – Singapore's second causeway to Malaysia. It stands at 12 meters high and flashes every 10 seconds with a beam that reaches 15 meters. The lighthouse is maintained by the Club and is the only one not owned and operated by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore. It's a popular spot for photography groups. In the evenings, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset as you take a stroll down the pier to the lighthouse. More about it here.

Embark on this unique trek which goes through the Rail Corridor, which is a continuous green passage that allows wildlife movement between central green spaces. It also serves as a recreational corridor for the public. The route typically takes around 5 hours to complete, but you can start at Buona Vista MRT station to shorten the journey, and still enjoy the best sections of the Rail Corridor. The Rail Corridor winds through some of Singapore's most vibrant neighbourhoods, allowing one to discover beautiful quarries, quaint cafes, shopping hubs, and historic treasures.
