Indian citizens travelling to Seoul, South Korea, must obtain a valid visa before their trip. The visa application process can be completed online or at a South Korean consulate. Required documents include a valid passport, visa application form, photographs, bank statements, proof of income tax payment, and for long-term visa applicants, a tuberculosis test certificate and a health condition form. Travel insurance is mandatory for all travellers to South Korea.
Air: Major cities offer direct or layover flights to Incheon International Airport, near Seoul. The shortest direct flight is from New Delhi via Asiana Airlines, costing around INR 37,000 per person. The cheapest fares are from Kolkata and Cochin, averaging INR 29,000 with layovers.
Sea: For those who enjoy long, luxurious holidays, cruises are an option. However, there are no direct cruises from India to South Korea. Cruises to South Korea are available from China, Singapore, and Australia. After visiting these places, you can book a cruise to South Korea and fly back to India. Some cruises originating in South Korea last about two weeks.
