The State Archaeological Museum in Behala, Kolkata, is one of the few museums in the state dedicated to archaeological finds in Bengal. On this tour, you will get to see a vast collection of artifacts from around West Bengal and also get to know about the history of a heritage building. The museum tour will cover seven galleries spanning archaeological discoveries in Bengal from the Paleolithic era to the present day. The site also features a simulated experience of the archaeological site of Jagjivanpur, providing a realistic glimpse into a Buddhist monastery from the early medieval period.
